Mr. Sert, President of Our Union, held meetings in Malaysia

A NEW BILATERAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN OUR UNION AND THE MALAYSIAN HEALTH UNION FEDERATION (MAPSU)

Mr. Devlet Sert, President of our union whose full title is the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Trade Union and Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation conducted a study visit to Malaysia. Mr. Sert held bilateral discussions with his counterparts in Malaysia by signing an important bilateral cooperation agreement with the Malaysian Health Unions Federation (MAPSU), which covered bilateral cooperation, sharing information, transfering knowledge and experience.

At the signing ceremony of the said agreement, Mr. Devlet Sert, our President and Mr. Roestam Dzahar, General Secretary of the Malaysian Health Unions Federation (MAPSU) concluded such an cooperation protocol which is going to strengthen mutual solidarity between the two labour organisations by developing joint work in the trade union field.

Mr. Devlet Sert was, our Union President, accompanied by our Vice-Presidents, Mr. İsmail Öztürk and Mr. Emre Kocaman, and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu who is International Relations Coordinator during his study visit programme.

Mr. Sert expressed his great satisfaction at the signing ceremeony due to signing this bilateral cooperation agreement with MAPSU which has 23 unions withing its structure by emphasizing that the signed agreement was an important step not only for the two labour organisations but also for the labour movement in Türkiye and Malaysia.

Mr. Roestam Dzahar stated, the MAPSU General Secretary, that exchange knowledge and experience between our union of Öz Sağlık-İş and the MAPSU were extremely valuable to them. The cooperation established due to the signed bilateral protocol will yield fruitful results for both sides as per his words and remarks at the ceremony.

 

 

OUR DELEGATION VISITED THE MALAYSIAN LABOUR CENTRE (UNI-MLC)

Our delegation consisting of Mr. Devlet Sert, our Union President together with Mr. İsmail Öztürk and Mr. Emre Kocaman who are Vice-Presidents (Executive Board Members), and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu who is International Relations Coordinator. 

 

Our delegation conducted negotiations and held discussions and exchanged knowledge and experience with the Mohd Effendy Bin Abdul Ghani, General Secretary of the Malaysian Labour Centre (UNI-MLC) and its Executive Board Members 

A STUDY VISIT TO THE CANSELOR TUANKU MUHRIZ UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL 

Our delegation also paid a visit to the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz University Hospital during their programme in Malaysia.

Mr. Devlet Sert, our Union President together with our Vice-Presidents, Mr. İsmail  and Mr. Emre Kocaman also visited the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz University Hospital in the scope of their Malaysia programme. Our delegation met with the Chief Physician Dr. Azmi Baharudin and members of the said hospital management board.

During the meeting, Mr. Sert, our Union President, provided information about trade union activities by giving concrete exemplary practices in/from the industrial relations system and the working life of Türkiye.  

Dr. Azmi Baharudin, the Chief Physician of the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz University Hospital and his delegation gave a comprehensive presentation about the healthcare services offered by the hospital as well as the academic research conducted, educational activities, and the importance of unionisation in the institutional process.
