Mr. Sert, Our Union President, Visited the Singapore Healthcare Services Employees Union

Mr. Devlet Sert, President of our union whose full title is the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Trade Union and Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation visited head of the Singapore Healthcare Services Employees Union (HSEU).

Mr. Devlet Sert was accompanied by our Vice-Presidents that are Mr. İsmail Öztürk and Mr. Emre Kocaman, as well as Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu who is International Relations Coordinator during his visit programme.

In the scope of the visit programme, Mr. Devlet Sert that is President of our union of the Öz Sağlık-İş and Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation has met with Executive Board Members of the Singapore Healthcare Services Employees Union (HSEU) and its super structure the Singapore National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). In this regard, Mr. Sert has hold bilateral discussions with the NTUC President, Mr. K. Thanaletchimi and his aides.

During the meeting, comprehensive presentations were given by both our Union and the HSEU about the services and activities they provided to their members. The parties exchanged views on specific areas of cooperation in order to improve the rights and interests of healthcare workers.

Mr. Sert stated that we were, as the Öz Sağlık-İş Trade Union, ready to take any joint steps and further action which would benefit healthcare workers with both the Singapore National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore Healthcare Services Employees Union (HSEU).

At the meeting, the parties also reached a mutual understanding that the next discussion (meeting) would be held in Türkiye and that a bilateral cooperation agreement would be signed.
