President Sert held discussions in Mongolia and signed a cooperation agreement signed with the Mongolian Health Workers’ Union

Mr. Devlet Sert, Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation and President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Workers’ Union, held fruitful discussions in Mongolia in the scope of his visit programme in order to advance industrial relations, working life and union rights of the healthcare workers as well as in order to develop union cooperation between Mongolia and Türkiye.

In the framework of President Sert’s visit programme in Mongolia, a bilateral cooperation agreement was also signed between our ÖZ SAĞLIK-İŞ Union and the Mongolian Health Workers Union (MHWU) by suggesting exchange of knowledge and experience between the sides/parties.

Mr. Fadlı Erdem, General Secretary, and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu, International Relations Coordinator of our Union accompanied Mr. Devlet Sert during the visit programme in Mongolia.

THE BILATERAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH MHWU

Further to discussions between delegations of the both unions, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed by Mr. Devlet Sert, President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Workers’ Union and by Mrs. Narantuya Chagnaa, President of the Mongolian Health Workers’ Union (MHWU).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Devlet Sert, our Union President, noted that the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the two countries lay the ground for strong cooperation among unions of both countries, and emphasized the importance of improving working conditions of healthcare workers, building and strengthening union capacity, and exchange knowledge and experiences between the parties.

A VISIT TO THE CONFEDERATION OF MONGOLIAN TRADE UNIONS (CMTU) 

As a part of the said visit program, Mr. Sert also paid a visit to the the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) head office together with our delegation and met Mr. Tamir Enkhbaatar, the CMTU President and his delegation. 

During the meeting at the CMTU head office, the delegations discussed the current state of the union movement, recent developments in the industrial relations, and the working life in Mongolia and Türkiye, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the unions and confederations.

The delegations reached a consensus to increase exchange of knowledge and experience, to develop more joint initiatives, and to sustain mutual contacts between the labour movements of the two countries.
