The ÖZ SAĞLIK-İŞ Trade Union extends a hand of hope to Gaza Strip, Palestine which has been struggling with hunger for years by conducting a kitchen project with its partners.

THE ÖZ SAĞLIK-İŞ KITCHEN IN GAZA PROVIDES HOT MEALS TO 1,500 PEOPLE EVERY DAY

The Öz Sağlık-İş Trade Union has been keeping on maintaining hope to the Gazaians who have been abandoned by the world through the Gaza Kitchen Project in collaboration with its partners and stakeholders in the said territory since the World Health Organization (WHO) drew attention to the severe humanitarian crisis and the threat of famine in Gaza Strip, Palestine.

By taking responsibility of solidarity with Gazaians who have been in inhumane living conditions due to ongoing blockade of the brutal zionist Israelian state, the Öz Sağlık-İş Union has been catering hot meals to 1,500 Gazaians every day as part of its humanitarian aid campaign.

The meals which are prepared at the Gaza Kitchen established and operated by the Öz Sağlık-İş Union in the Gaza Strip are delivered to families struggling to survive under the harsh conditions of war and deprivation. Those catering services provide support for their daily lives and maintain hope for their hearts.

MR. SERT: WE WILL NEVER FORGET THE GAZA AND ITS PEOPLE EVEN IF OTHERS FORGET

By drawing attention to the fact that the so-called ceasefire in Gaza has caused to fade the immense humanitarian tragedy unfolding in the Gaza strip, Mr. Devlet Sert said, the Öz Sağlık-İş Union President and the HAK-İŞ Confederation Vice-President, that “We will never forget the Gaza, and our brothers and sisters living there even if everyone else forgets.”

By pointing out that humanitarian aid activities have been funded and sustained by both the Öz Sağlık-İş Trade Union own resources and voluntary donations of its members/workers, Mr. Sert underlined that those activities would uninteruptedly continue to the Gazaians without any break in close cooperation and coordination with partner organisations.

Mr. Sert said that “Together with our partner organizations in the region, we are extending the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood of the health and social service workers beyond our borders. Through the Gaza Kitchen Project run by the Öz Sağlık-İş, we are able provide hot meals to 1,500 Gazaians every day since we consider it our gretatest humanitarian mission to aid all in Gaza Strip, especialy children, who have been losing their lives due to poverty, famine,  helplessnes and deprivation as far as we can. We are determined to keep on all kinds of aid activities whenever we can and whenever we catch any opportunity to do. Our kitchen facility in Gaza which reflects the conscience, generosity, and commitment to the human values of health and social services workers will keep on serving to Gazaian people, which reflects the conscience, generosity, and commitment to the human values of health and social services workers by being a beacon of hope for Gazaians who endure very difficult days.”
