New Bilateral Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Our Union and TUWHS in Jordan

Mr. Devlet Sert, President of our Union of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Trade Union and the Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation signed an important agreement suggesting cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience with the General Trade Union of Health Services and Pharmaceutical Industry Workers of Jordan during his working visit programme to Jordan.

A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between our union of Öz Sağlık-İş and the General Trade Union of Health Services and Pharmaceutical Industries Workers of Jordan (TUWHS) in Amman on February 17th, 2026.

At the pre-meeting between our union delegation headed by Mr. Devlet Sert, President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Workers Union and the General Trade Union of Health Services and Pharmaceutical Industry Employees of Jordan (TUWHS) headed by Mr. Mohammad Ahmad Ghanem, President of the TUWHS compromised to advance cooperation between the unions and the two countries by sharing knowledge and experience and implementing joint projects. 

Following the discussions, a new international cooperation agreement signed between our union of ÖZ SAĞLIK-İŞ and the General Trade Union of Health Services and Pharmaceutical Industries Workers of Jordan (TUWHS).

The bilateral cooperation agreement was signed by our Union President Mr. Devlet Sert and by Mr. Mohammad Ahmad Ghanem, President of the General Trade Union of Health Services and Pharmaceutical Industries Workers of Jordan (TUWHS) on February 17th, 2026 in Amman, capital city of Jordan.

During the visit programme, Mr. Devlet Sert, President of our Union accompanied by our Vice-Presidents that are Advocate Mr. Muhammet Esat Eyvaz and Mr. Fehmi Azboy, and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu, International Relations Expert.

Before the signing ceremony of the bilateral cooperation agreement, our delegation headed by our President Mr. Devlet Sert have met with Mr. Khaled Al-Fanatsa, the President of the General Federation of Jordan Trade Unions (GFJTU), and the Executive Board members in order to hold mutual discussions for assesing bilateral relations.

Mr. Sert drew attention to the strong historical and cultural ties between Türkiye and the brother country of Jordan, by expressing his satisfaction that the shared values ​​and deep-rooted friendship between the peoples of the two countries would be further strengthened in the field of trade unionism. Mr. Sert emphasized that the signed bilateral cooperation agreement would further strengthen the bonds between the workers of the two countries and take joint efforts to a higher level.

Mr. Mohammad Ahmad Ghanem, the TUWHS President, thanked our President and Executive Board members by pointing out that the signed cooperation with our union of Öz Sağlık-İş was an important step in terms of joint activities and it would fortify trade union solidarity in the future.
