Öz Sağlık İşçileri Sendikası
Mr. Devlet Sert, Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation and President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Workers’ Union, continues his international trade union contacts in Kazakhstan.
As part of his international union contacts, Mr. Sert visited the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FTURK) and the Union of Workers in Medicine and Related Fields (QazMed). During the visit, a cooperation agreement aiming at promoting bilateral cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two unions was signed.
During the meetings, bilateral discussions focused on strengthening labour relations between the two countries (Türkiye and Kazakhstan), current policies and practices concerning the working conditions of health and social services workers, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Mr. Fadlı Erdem, General Secretary, and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu, International Relations Coordinator of our Union accompanied Mr. Devlet Sert throughout the visit programme in Kazakhstan.
A BILATERAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH QAZMED
Following discussions between the two union delegations involving Mr. Aliakpar Bolatovich Matishev, President of the Union of Workers in Medicine and Related Fields (QazMed), and Mr. Yelzhan Birtanov who is advisor to the QazMed President and also former Minister of Health, our President Devlet Sert signed a cooperation and knowledge-sharing oriented bilateral agreement with QazMed President Mr. Aliakpar Bolatovich Matishev.
Under the bilateral cooperation agreement, both parties agreed to strengthen union capacity, advance workers’ rights, and increase the exchange of knowledge and experience.
VISIT TO THE FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
Our delegation also visited the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FTURK). Mr. Fadlı Erdem, General Secretary, and Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu, International Relations Coordinator of our Union accompanied Mr. Devlet Sert during the visit programme at FTURK headquarters.
Mr. Devlet Sert, Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation and President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Workers’ Union, together with our delegation, met with Mr. Dauletalin Satybaldy, President of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FTURK), and Mr. Nurlan Uteshev, Deputy General Secretary of FTURK.
During the visit programme, recent trade union activities in Türkiye and Kazakhstan were reviewed and assessed. Views and opinions were also exchanged on further strengthening cooperation between the sectoral unions and their umbrella organisations in the two countries, as well as on strengthening global trade union solidarity.
