EXAMPLES OF THE SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY OUR UNION
The Öz Sağlık-İş Union organises various socio-cultural activities for the benefit of its members, their families and children in order to build new heartful bridges among its community members. One of those activities is painting competition.
The Culture and Arts Committee of our union and its academic research center, ÖZ-SAM, organised a painting competition under the motto/title of “My Family’s Labour – My Future” in November 2024- 10 January 2025. Children of our members which are active students in the primary, middle and high schools in Türkiye were eligible to join the said competition.
The deadline for submissions to the painting competition has been set as January 10, 2025.
Paintings will be assessed by a jury composed of academicians from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Hacı Bayram Veli University which is located in Ankara, capital city of Türkiye. As per terms of references of the competition, all techniques and materials such as watercolor, dry paint, pastel, oil paint were possible to use by focusing on the theme of labour life and union struggle.
The students that have intented to join were requested to submit their entries/drawings to the Öz Sağlık-İş Union Branch Offices in the provinces where their parents worked by January 10, 2025. Detailed information regarding the competition and the entries could be obtained from the relevant branch offices of our organisation.
The entries/drawings received by our branches would be sent to our Head Office in Ankara. Then, all entries/drawings have been evaluated by the jury members which were academicians from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Hacı Bayram Veli University.
Regarding awarding scale of the above-mentioned competition, the first-place winner has received a full gold coin, the second-place winner was eligible to be awarded with a half gold coin, and third-place winner was entitled to gain a quarter gold coin.
Additionally, the top 10 entries have been awarded with Special Jury Awards.

This competion has met with very well-founded positive feed backs and impacts from a large part of the health and social services community in Türkiye.
This painting competition concluded on September 15, 2025. In the competition, held in primary, middle, and high school categories, children of our members depicted family efforts, solidarity, and hopes for the future through their drawings. The jury meticulously evaluated these valuable works, and the winning students were determined/selected.
The awarding ceremony of the competition was held at our head office on October 4, 2025.

• First Prize: Ms. Ayten Hanım Gürsu/Giresun province
• Second Prize: Ms.Defne Beren Delli/Bartın province
• Third Prize: Ms. Deniz Şahin/Antalya province
Middle School Category Awards
• First Prize: Ms. Ayşe Hümeyra Gül/Antalya province
• Second Prize: Ms. Hatice Gülce Göktürk/Hatay province
• Third Prize: Ms. Fatıma Tüz Zehra Kılınç/Hatay province
High School Category Awards
• First Prize: Ms. Menekşe Su Çiftçioğlu/Kayseri province
• Second Prize: Ms. İrem Nisan Şengül/Kocaeli province
• Third Prize: Mr. İbrahim Efe Kansu/Istanbul Branch No. 3 Presidency
Öz Sağlık-İş Union Special Award went to Ms. Ela Arslan/Yozgat province.
In addition, students who placed in each category were also entitled to receive honorable mention awards.
