Provided a Training Opportunity to an Egyptian Unionist

Our union provided a training opportunity to an Egyptian unionist in 2025 autumn in Ankara.

Ms. Shaimaa Ali Elsaid MEKHIMAR who is Treasurer of the General Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt (GUoHSW) participated a-month-period-on-the-job-training programme at our union’s head office in Ankara, capital city of Türkiye in line with the bilateral cooperation protocol framework which was signed between our union of ÖZ SAĞLIK-İŞ Health and Social Services Workers’ Trade Union and GUoHSW on 14 November 2024 in Ankara.

It was expected that this on-the-job training opportunity would enable to Ms. Shaimaa Ali Elsaid MEKHIMAR, Treasurer of the General Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt (GUoHSW) to exchange knowledge and experience about Turkish industrial relations system, working life and union movement as well as to strengthen and deepen relations between the two sister organisations and brother countries.

President, Executive Board Members and General Secretary of our union and Ms. Shaimaa Ali Elsaid MEKHIMAR who is Treasurer of the General Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt (GUoHSW) have gathered at the Presidency office in order to assess the training programme and to say goodbye to the participant.

At the end of the training programme, the participant who is Ms. Shaimaa Ali Elsaid MEKHIMAR, Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the General Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt (GUoHSW) received her international training programme certificate from our union President Mr. Devlet Sert.

Ms. Shaimaa Ali Elsaid MEKHIMAR has, Treasurer of the General Trade Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt, acquired a right to receive this certificate of the on-the-job training programme to which she has attended and successfully completed at our head office’s International Relations Department, located in Ankara, during the period of 10 August – 10 September 2025 in line with the provisions of the current bilateral cooperation agreement which is in act between our trade union and The General Trade Union of Health Services Workers of Egypt (GTUHSW).

Mr. Devlet Sert has thanked her for her participation and contribution and wish her every success into her career path.
