WE DISCUSSED OUR UNION’S PENDING MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION WITH PSI GENERAL SECRETARY
Mr. Devlet Sert, Our Union President, met the Public Services International high-level executives and officers in Geneva, Switzerland in order to discuss our Union’s pending membership application.

Our Union Delegation that is in Geneva for the 114th session of the International Labour Conference covered Mr. Devlet Sert that is President of the Öz Sağlık-İş Health and Social Services Union and Vice-President of the HAK-İŞ Trade Union Confederation together with Mr. Muhammet Esat Eyvaz, Vice-President for Financial Issues, Mr. Fadlı Erdem, General Secretary, Mr. İlyas Şeker, Chief Legal Advisor, Mr. Uğur Müftüoğlu, International Relations Coordinator, Mr. Mehmet Selim Ahi, Advocate of our Union.

Mr. Sert, Our Union President, held a comprehensive meeting with Mr. Daniel Bertossa who is the PSI General Secretary and Mr. Baba Aye, the PSI Health & Social Services Officer by demanding our union’s PSI membership application which has been awaiting and pending for years to be concluded soon.
By reminding of our Union’s membership application which has been pending for a few years, Mr. Sert, once again emphasized the strong organised structure and representation power of our union in the field of health and social services in Türkiye.

MR. SERT: HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICE WORKERS SHOULD NOT BE DEPRIVED OF INTERNATIONAL UNION SOLIDARITY
By underlining that our Öz Sağlık-İş Union has become one of the largest public sector labour movements by representing hundreds of thousands of health and social services workers in Türkiye, Mr. Sert emphasized that the failure to finalise membership applications for long years did not align international labour and union solidarity and expectations of the health and social service workers.
Mr. Sert stated that the Öz Sağlık-İş Union was ready to contribute more to the global labour movement by strengthening the global labour struggle, protecting the rights and interests of the health and social service workers, and developing international solidarity.
PSI OFFICERS: ALL NECESSARY EFFORTS ARE BEING MADE TO ENSURE THE PROCESS RUNNING SMOOTHLY
By assessing the ongoing membership process of the Öz Sağlık-İş Union to PSI, Mr. Daniel Bertossa, PSI General Secretary, and Mr. Baba Aye, the PSI Health & Social Services Officer expressed that the said membership application was being handled with sensitivity and all necessary efforts would be made to ensure the said process running smoothly.
